DR. MIKE BEUTNER is the holder of the Chase Bank Professorship in Teacher Education.

He is an associate professor in the Instructional Technology program and Director of the Teaching and Learning Resource Center (TLRC), an on-campus resource for ULM faculty development.

Dr. Beutner earned a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Ohio University in 2001, a Masters of Arts in Public Administration from Ohio University in 1979, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1977.

From 1998-2004, he was an assistant professor/adjunct faculty in Ohio University's College of Education, and also served as an instructor of Instructional Technology for undergraduate and graduate courses.

Dr. Beutner was a professional multimedia software developer from 1999 -2004, producing 20+ commercial video-based educational software titles.

He has been involved in Instruction and Curriculum Development of intensive English language program at the University of Guam, and has worked with several universities in the Pacific Rim, including Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan.

The Chase Bank Professorship in Teacher Education endowment was established to maintain excellence in teaching, learning and research at ULM.
