Dr. Charles CookMR. CHARLES COOK is the holder of the Thurman Potts Professorship in Construction.

Before joining the faculty of ULM, Mr. Cook was engaged in private practice as an architect and engineer in Ouachita Parish, where he successfully completed a number of projects for both public and private owners before coming to ULM as Director of the Physical Plant between 1992 and 1997. Prior to that, Mr. Cook was engaged for more than twenty-five years as a partner or a sole proprietor in architectural and engineering firms in the Dallas area.

Mr. Cook received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas (Austin) in 1961 and has done graduate work in the Executive MBA program at the University of Texas at Dallas. His essay, "The Master Builder as Financial Manager," was published in Texas Architect.

He is a Louisiana Registered Architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and holds a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Mr. Cook is also a Louisiana Registered Professional Engineer.

The Thurman Potts Professorship in Construction endowment was established to encourage and reward excellence in teaching, learning and research at ULM.
