DR. JAMES CASEY is the holder of the Governor James A. Noe and Linda Noe Lane Professorship in Agriculture and is the head of the Agriculture Department at ULM.
Dr. Casey is a native of east Texas and earned his doctorate in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. He taught agribusiness courses at Texas A&M, Oklahoma State University, Sam Houston State University, and University of California, Fresno, before coming to ULM.
Dr. Casey’s professional expertise is in farm management, agricultural finance, and natural resource economics. His professional research activities have concentrated on natural resource issues associated with agricultural chemicals and energy.
He is currently teaching agricultural accounting, finance, marketing, and natural resource economics at ULM. In addition, his duties include management of the ULM Farms, which include livestock and crop laboratories designed to complement the teaching program.
