DR. MICHAEL PARKER is the Louisiana Real Estate Commission Endowed Professorship in Finance.

He is a full professor of finance and serves as the department chairperson; a position he has held for three years. His areas of specialty are corporate finance and investments. He also teaches a class on derivative securities.

Throughout his career, his work has appeared in excess of 20 refereed journal publications and more than 20 presentations at professional meetings.

He received his Ph.D. in finance from Mississippi State University in 1992. Upon completion of his degree, he became employed at ULM.

The Louisiana Real Estate Commission Endowed Professorship in Finance endowment was established to encourage and reward excellence in teaching and demonstrate scholarly expertise in an appropriate field of finance.
