He has served as an assistant professor in the agriculture department since 2006; previously, he was an instructor there from 2003 - 2006. Throughout his career, he has also been an adjunct professor, a teacher, an agricultural biologist, and a technical development weed scientist. He is a licensed Louisiana agricultural consultant. He received his B.S. in toxicology from Northeast Louisiana University (1993), and both his M.S. in entomology (1996) and his Ph.D. in plant health/weed science (2000) from Louisiana State University. He is or has been a member of the following professional organizations: the Louisiana State University College of Agriculture Alumni Association, the Ouachita Parish Ag Center Advisory Committee, the Weed Science Society of America, and the Southern Weed Science Society. He has received numerous awards and honors and seen his research featured in several professional publications and presentations. About the Endowment: The Tom and Mayme Scott Professorship in Agriculture endowment was established to encourage and reward excellence in teaching, learning and research at ULM. |
