He serves as professor of Family System Theory in the Marriage and Family Therapy doctoral and master degree programs at ULM. He is a Senior Research Fellow and former director of the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, Calif. His research, teaching and clinical expertise is in cybernetics, communication and system theory as applied in understanding human behavior and interactional/systemic therapy. He travels widely, conducting teaching seminars and lectures across North and Central America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He is the author of more than 75 juried journal articles and book chapters. In 1987, he founded and was first director of the Don D. Jackson Archive of Systemic Literature; he currently serves as senior archivist. About the Endowment: The Frances Davis Hammond Professorship in Education endowment was established to encourage and reward excellence in teaching, learning and research at ULM. |
