Dr. Rice received a BA in English from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, a MEd in Educational Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, a PhD in Educational Administration from The University of Mississippi, and a Post Doctoral DlpEd from the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, Abilene, Texas. Dr. Rice has numerous publications in refereed journals as well as presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels. He conducts frequent workshops for elementary and secondary teachers and administrators each year and serves as an external consultant to many elementary and secondary schools. Dr. Rice serves on the International Board of Directors of The Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy and is the Chair for Education and Credentialing. In this capacity, he was instrumental in standardizing a comprehensive English curriculum that has been adopted by affiliations in South Africa, Israel, Finland, Norway, and Brazil. As a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling, he was part of the team that developed the Redesigned Program in Educational Leadership. This Program received national recognition as the only program in Louisiana to be approved with no stipulations. About the Endowment: The Endowed Professorship in Education Administration endowment was established to encourage and reward excellence in teaching, learning and research at ULM. |
