BAYOU KENNEL CLUB, INC. SCHOLARSHIP
PURPOSE: The Bayou Kennel Club, Inc. Scholarship is
established to assist a Northeast Louisiana High
School graduate in pursuing a degree in Veterinary
Medicine.
VALUE
OF SCHOLARSHIP:
The
scholarship will be awarded annually at $500 per
year. Funding will be provided by June 1 each year.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
A.
Must be a high school graduate residing in one of
the following parishes:
Union,
Lincoln, Jackson, Caldwell, Ouachita, Morehouse,
Franklin, Richland, Madison, East Carroll or West
Carroll
B.
Must be a full-time student enrolled in the
Pre-Veterinary curriculum and pursuing a degree in
Veterinary Medicine.
C.
Must have an overall 3.0 grade point average and
must maintain a 3.0 average each academic year to
maintain the scholarship. The scholarship cannot be
retained for more than eight semesters.
D.
Priority will be given to students participating in
student activities that develop responsibility,
leadership, and citizenship, to include honors and
offices held
SELECTION:
Selection of recipient will be made by the
University Scholarship Committee.
