JOHN ANDREW COLVIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

VALUE AND FUNDING:

The minimum scholarship amount shall be $1,000 annually, including fall, spring and summer terms.  The minimum number of scholarships awarded annually could vary from two (2) to four (4), depending upon the funding requirements of recipient(s) and available resources

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

A.  Recipient (s) must be a resident of Franklin Parish, Louisiana.  If no one qualifies from Franklin Parish, the scholarship will be given to students who are residents of any other parish in north Louisiana.

B.  Recipient(s) must major in Agriculture or Nursing, but at least one recipient annually.  Must be pursuing a degree in Agriculture.

C.  Recipient(s) must have a B average in high school.

D.  Recipient(s) must demonstrate Christian character and must have demonstrated a love and appreciation for all the blessings of nature and a compassion for others.

E.  The scholarship is renewable for up to four years if a 2.5 GPA is maintained.
