SAM WALKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Value of Scholarship: 

All monies collected for this scholarship will be deposited in a local bank or loan association.  Only the interest earned will be used for the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded when the interest from the principal reaches an amount sufficient to cover the cost of registration fees for one year.

Criteria for Selection:

The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by the College Scholarship Committee using the following criteria:

1.  Student must be enrolled in a four (4) year curriculum in the Department of  Agriculture.

2.  Student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior having obtained a 2.5 average in previous work.

3.  Scholarship will be an annual award, excluding summer school, although the same student will be eligible for the scholarship in consecutive years if selected.

4.  Student must maintain a 2.5 average during the first semester after receiving the Scholarship for the second semester.
