Oozeball Application |
BIG SWITCH - The Big Switch is a project where students purchase a ticket in hopes of being able to switch places, during a four-hour period, with one of ULM’s top administrators or teachers. During this four-hour period, roles are reversed between the administrator and the student. This event provides a unique opportunity for students, teachers, and administrators to gain insight into each other’s daily routine. CHILI COOK-OFF - The 31 Ambassadors sponsors the "Chili Cook-Off". Now in its 23rd year, the "Chili Cook-off" is held in "The Grove" tailgating area prior to a home football game. Prizes are awarded for cooking and showmanship.OOZEBALL - ULM’s "Get Wild" week, known as Spring Fever, ends on a Friday with Oozeball. This mud volleyball tournament is a ULM student favorite. Each year hundreds of ULM students and faculty spend the afternoon playing volleyball in the mud pits behind the ULM Tennis Stadium. Proceeds from this event benefit the "Friends of the ULM Library." SENIOR GRAD BLOW-OUT - Immediately after graduation practice, all graduating seniors are invited to the Alumni Center for burgers and door prizes. This event gives the graduating senior an opportunity to complete their alumni information packets and to enjoy a nice afternoon visiting with fellow grads. SURVIVAL KITS - The 31 Ambassadors offer parents the opportunity to purchase a Survival Kit for their son or daughter, which is assembled by the 31 Ambassadors. Each student is sent notification that there is a surprise waiting on him or her at the Alumni Center. Each kit contains lots of goodies designed to help relieve the stress of finals, and a note from their parents.TREASURE HUNT - During a four-week stretch each semester, the 31 Ambassadors sponsor a treasure hunt on the ULM campus. Each week, clues are posted at the SUB and Alumni Center. These clues are designed so that the student will have to "learn" more about our university.
