  • MONROE - Baseball Reunion and Golf Scramble

    Event Date-Time: Fri, 11/13/2009 7:00pm - Sat, 11/14/2009 10:00pm

    Teammates gathered the weekend of November 13-14 for a baseball reunion and golf scramble in support of the ULM Baseball Program.  The tentative schedule was:
     
    Friday - November 13th - social that evening at the alumni center
    Saturday - November 14th - 3-man scramble at Frenchmen's Bend - 9:00 tee-time.  After the scramble, we'll move to the grove and tailgate in support of the Warhawks who play Western Kentucky in football.
     


  • DALLAS (Denton) - Johnny's Pizza tailgating party!

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 11/07/2009 11:00am - 2:00pm

    Thanks to everyone who joined us in Denton, Texas on Saturday, November 7th, prior to the Warhawks football game vs. UNT for the Johnny's pizza party tailgating event.   The crawfish boil will be next - sometime in May of 2010!

  • HOUSTON - Warhawks football watch party (# 2)!

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 10/24/2009 5:00pm - 10:00pm

    The Greater Houston chapter hosted its second ULM football watch party on Saturday, October 24th, at the Homeplate Grill (across the street from Minutemaid Park) and watched the Warhawks play the Kentucky Wildcats.  The event was held in the mezzaine section which overlooks the bar area.

  • HOUSTON - Warhawks football watch party!

    Event Date-Time: Tue, 10/13/2009 6:00pm - 10:00pm

    Our Greater Houston chapter president, Elizabeth Riser Parker and husband Robert hosted a football watch party on Tuesday, October 13th, at the Homeplate Grill (across the street from Minutemaid Park) to watch our Warhawks play on ESPN 2 vs. Sun Belt Rival Arkansas State.  The event was held in the mezzaine section which overlooked the bar area.

  • SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER - Warhawks football watch party!

    Event Date-Time: Tue, 10/13/2009 6:00pm - 10:00pm

    Alumni and friends from Northwest Louisiana gathered to watch the Warhawks on ESPN 2 on October 13th!  Thanks to Johnny's Pizza in Bossier City for hosting the event (the cost was $5.00 for the all you can eat buffet * $1.00 for soft drinks with free refills * and beer specials as well).  Johnny's is located on the corner of Airline and Texas in Bossier City.

  • LITTLE ROCK - Warhawks football watch party!

    Event Date-Time: Tue, 10/13/2009 6:00pm - 10:00pm

    Alumni and friends from Central Arkansas gathered and watched the Warhawks on ESPN 2 on October 13th!  The football watch party will be held at the Boudreaux's Grill & Bar   which is located at 9811 Maumelle Blvd in Little Rock - just a couple of miles west of I-430.

  • AUSTIN, TX - ULM vs UT - football tailgating event

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 09/05/2009 (All day)

    Around 150 Alumni and friends joined the Texas Hill Country Chapter when they hosted a tailgating event before the ULM vs UT game.  The location was at the Masonic Lodge which is hear campus.  Many thanks to Scott Rawls and our Texas Hill Country Chapter president, Ted Williamson, for all their hard work on this great event!
     
     


  • WINNSBORO - seafood buffet dinner at Brown's Landing

    Event Date-Time: Thu, 08/13/2009 5:30pm - 8:00pm

    Alumni and friends joined us on Thursday, August 13th, for a seafood buffet at Brown's Landing in support of ULM.  Our social time started at 5:30 and a Dutch treat dinner was served at 6:30.   We raised over $600.00 at our first ever silent auction in support of our scholarships!

  • DELHI - dinner at Black Bear Country Club

    Event Date-Time: Tue, 08/11/2009 6:30pm - 8:00pm

    A good crowd gathered on Tuesday evening, August 11th, 6:30 at Black Bear Country Club for our annual dinner in support of ULM.  The cost was $10.00 per person.  Our social hour began at 6:30 with dinner being served at 7:00.

  • LITTLE ROCK - family night at the Arkansas Travelers Baseball game.

    Event Date-Time: Sun, 08/09/2009 5:00pm - 10:00pm

    Alumni and friends gathered on Sunday night, August 9th, at the home of the Arkansas Travelers Baseball Team as we re-started our Central Arkansas Alumni Chapter in support of ULM.  The cost was $10.00 per person.  The gates opened at 5 - food was served from 5-6:30 - game time was 6:00!  Congrats to Charles Flynn our new chapter president!
     

     


  • OAK GROVE - a dinner for our East/West Carroll Parish alumni.

    Event Date-Time: Thu, 08/06/2009 6:00pm - 8:00pm

    Alumni and friends gathered on Thursday night, August 6th at Mike's Catfish House for our annual dinner in support of ULM.  Our social time began at 6:00 with the buffet line opening at 6:30.  The cost was $10.00 per person and a good time was had by all.

  • FARMERVILLE - an all day golf outing and dinner for our Lincoln-Union Parish alumni.

    Event Date-Time: Tue, 07/28/2009 1:30pm - 8:30pm

    Alumni and friends gathered on Tuesday, July 28th in Farmerville, LA, at the Lake D'Arbonne Country Club for our annual Alumni event in support of ULM. Rain washed out the golf scramble this year but a great time was had by all.

  • HOUSTON - a family dinner for our Greater Houston area alumni

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 07/25/2009 6:00pm - 9:00pm

    Alumni and friends gathered on Saturday July 25th, at the Ragin Cajun’s on Westheimer for an all you can eat buffet dinner in support of ULM.  The event was from 6-9 p.m.  The cost is $15.00 a person and the menu included boiled shrimp, fried fish, and more!  The food was great and everyone had a very good time.


  • NEW ORLEANS - an after hours event for our Greater New Orleans area alumni

    Event Date-Time: Fri, 07/24/2009 7:00pm - 10:00pm

    Alumni and friends met on Friday, July 24th, at the Bulldog on Canal for a great after hours’ event in support of ULM.  The event was held from 7-10:00 at the Bulldog on Canal which proved to be a great place!


  • LAKE CHARLES - a family dinner for our Imperial Calcasieu area alumni

    Event Date-Time: Thu, 07/23/2009 6:30pm - 8:30pm

    Alumni and friends braved bad weather to meet on Thursday evening, July 23rd, at the Seafood Palace for our annual dinner in support of ULM.  The social hour began at 6:30 and dinner was served at 7:00.  There were 3-4 plated dishes to choose from.  The cost was $10.00 per person / $7.00 for children 4-10 / free for kids under 4.


  • BATON ROUGE - a Johnny's Pizza party for our Baton Rouge area alumni

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 07/18/2009 5:30pm - 8:00pm

    A nice crowd joined us on Saturday, July 18th at  Independence Park – Room 126 for an all-you-care-to-eat Johnny’s Pizza Party in support of ULM.  The social hour began at 5:30 and Johnny’s pizza was served at 6:00.  Our agenda included a short program and we'll gave away some great ULM Warhawk door prizes!.  The cost was $10.00 per adult and children 8 and under eat for $5.00. 


  • LAFAYETTE - a family dinner for our Acadiana area alumni

    Event Date-Time: Sat, 07/11/2009 5:00pm - 9:00pm

    Alumni gathered on Saturday afternoon, July 11th, at Acadian Village (same place as last year) for a family fish fry in support of ULM. for a fish fry in support of ULM.  The social hour began at 5:00 and dinner was served at 6:00.  Acadian Village has a very large covered pavilion so the event went on even though it stormed!  We also had one of those air toys for kids to play in.  The cost was $10.00 per adult and $7.00 for children.  


  • TULSA - Arkoma Chapter Family Event @ Dave and Buster’s!

    On Saturday, June 20th ULM alumni from the Arkoma Chapter (Tulsa) gathered at Dave and Busters for a great family event in support of ULM!   Everyone seemed to enjoy this location and the food was great - we'll more than likely have our event in 2010 here as well. 


  • TYLER/LONGVIEW - East Texas Crawfish Boil

    Alumni and friends gathered in the Tyler (East Texas) area on Sunday, June 14th for an all-you-care-to-eat crawfish boil in support of ULM.   A special thanks to Monty "longest crawfish boil in the history of East Texas" Ingram for cooking this years crawfish!   
     


  • SHREVEPORT - Caddo/Bossier Crawfish boil and Golf Scramble!

    Event Date-Time: Fri, 06/12/2009 12:00pm

    Alumni and friends gathered in Shreveport for our 1st ever and now annual Caddo-Bossier golf scramble.  The event will help endow a scholarship for students from that area who want to attend ULM.   A special thanks to ULM's own Tim Brando for hosting the event at Northwood Hills Country Club.
