Your College Mentor: the Advisor

As a student in the College of Arts & Sciences, you will be assigned an advisor who guides you in your academic pursuit.  Your academic advisor is your first contact for most of your academic needs while you are a student at ULM.  Your advisor is also a faculty member of your major area of study.  As a result, your academic advisor is knowledgeable about the courses you need to graduate in your major. 

The academic advisor is your college mentor and is specially trained to help you by addressing questions that pertain to

• Contact information
• Degree plan information
• Campus organization groups
• Honors courses
• Tutoring

Get Advised Each Semester

During each semester, you will be notified of the advising period for the following semester. Your advisor will contact you to set up an appointment.

Locate Your Advisor To locate your advisor or get contact information, go to the Arrow system located on the ULM homepage, or here at https://arrow.ulm.edu/.  If you are a current student, your Arrow account will display your advisor based on your major.  If you have recently changed majors, the Arrow screen may not be updated. In that case, call the College of Arts and Sciences at 342-1750, or email us at artsandsciences@ulm.edu. Build A Relationship Make an effort to stay in contact with your advisor. He or she can serve as your gateway to university life!
