STUDENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

 

Nomination Criteria:

·         Be enrolled as a full-time student in good academic standing (2.0 semester and cumulative GPA)

·         Be an undergraduate that is currently working in an official student employee title code (03 or 04)

·         Be employed at least 6 months prior to the submission deadline (March 22, 2012)

 

The Nomination Committee is comprised of a student, faculty and staff across campus.

 

The Nomination Process:

·         Campus supervisors are to complete the nomination form for each nominee at this link:   Only one nomination per department.  Note:  Exceptions for multiple nominations are large departments with different work areas.  For example, the Library with over 20+ students in Circulation, Reference, etc., or Recreational Services with many students in different work areas. But only one nomination per area.

·         Please keep nominations confidential from student employees in order to maintain integrity of competition.

·         The forms will be copied and the nominated student’s name will be blocked out where possible. Next the forms will be given to each member of the selection committee.

·         The Nomination Committee will rate the nominees on a number scale based on various criteria indicated in the nomination form and the student with the highest score will be named Student of the Year.

·         The winner will be announced at the Student Employment Appreciation Reception on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

STUDENT EMPLOYEE TEAM OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

 

Nomination Criteria:

·         Group of at least 2 or more staff members working in the same office, department or organization

·         All team members must be currently enrolled students

·         Employed via on campus employment (03 or 04) or Community-Based Federal Work Study

·         Nominated by a supervisor of the department

 

The Nomination Committee is comprised of a student, faculty and staff across campus.

 

The Nomination Process:
