Dr. Bruce Walker is a native of Monroe and graduated from ULM (then known as NLU) a long time ago.
After graduating, he got married and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area where he
began a 15-year corporate career that spanned the banking, manufacturing, retailing,
and consulting industries. He began his Human Resource Management career in 1980.
In 1995, after working on his Ph.D. for four years, he, his wife, and their three
children returned to Monroe. He began teaching at ULM in 1996.
