POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (UL Monroe) invites applications for two tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in a department offering masters and specialist degrees that emphasize exercise science, exercise science-pre PT, health promotion/disease prevention, fitness and sports, and health/physical education teacher certification.

 

DEPARTMENT

Kinesiology

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach undergraduate/graduate courses; provide quality academic advising to students, supervise field experiences, engage in scholarship and other professional development; and provide service to the department, university, and community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in Kinesiology (ABD considered), interest in and evidence of scholarly productivity, and the ability to use computer technology to support teaching and scholarship.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
For the first position we are looking for someone with coursework and/or experience in fitness, exercise science, lifetime sports, team sports, first aid, strength training, and/or group exercise. ACSM and/or NSCA certifications are highly desirable. For the second position we are looking for someone with coursework and/or experience in health, health promotion, kinesiology or a related area. CHES certification is highly desirable.

SALARY
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Psychology at the University of Louisiana Monroe invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in a department offering masters and specialist degrees that emphasize applied psychometrics, general experimental, and school psychology orientations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with applied experiences (School/Counseling/Clinical).  A knowledge of multivariate designs and data analyses, and previous college teaching would be beneficial.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Instructor of Education (4034)

DEPARTMENT
College
of Education & Human Development, Curriculum & Instruction

SALARY
Commensurate with experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Teach undergraduate courses as needed.
2. Supervise student teachers and/or interns – primarily those assigned to school sites outside Ouachita Parish.
3. Present professional development workshops for student teachers and interns as needed.
4. Advise undergraduate education majors.
5. Maintain records of supervisory activities and submit required documents to Coordinator of Field Experience (in both print and online assessment system).
6. Report issues and/or concerns about student teachers and/or interns to Coordinator of Field Experience.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of master’s degree in education or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in P-12 schools.
• Knowledge of Louisiana Assistance and Assessment Program (LaTAAP).
• Preferred experience with LATAAP-mentor or external evaluator.
• Preferred experience with supervision of pre-service and/or in-service teachers.
• Preferred experience with presentation of professional development for teachers.

CLOSING DATE
