Six week internship program through AustraLearn. Students can work toward completing their field experience/student teaching requirements in a primary or secondary school while taking 9-12 online credit hours through ULM.
Travel dates for Spring 2011: February 14 - April 8, 2011
Application deadlines: no later than 4 months prior to start date
The program incorporates:
Initial application fee $400*
Program placement and processing fee $2,702*
Mandatory on-site housing and student support fee $1,738*

Buenos Aires, Argentina
Eight week internship program through Globalearn-IT. Students can work toward completing their field experience/student teaching requirements in bilingual K-12 schools while taking 9-12 online credit hours through ULM. You do not need to know Spanish, all classes are taught in English. If you decide you want to teach in Spanish, that can be requested.
Travel dates for 2011: March 7 - April 29 / May 2 - June 24 / June 27 - Aug. 19 / Aug. 22 - Oct. 14 / Oct. 17 - Dec. 9
Application deadline: 4 months prior to start date
The program incorporates:
Initial application fee $50*
Program placement fee, processing fee, housing up to 8 weeks $4,000*
50% due on acceptance to program and full payment made 60 days before start of program.
Total fees paid to Globalearn-IT = $4,050* + additional expenses**
Europe and Asia
Ten-to-fifteen week field experiences/student teaching program or three-to-four practicum program through Educators Abroad. Students completing field experiences/student teaching will take 9-12 online credit hours through ULM.
Travel dates and application deadlines for 2011: Jan., Feb., and March (applications due Oct. 15, 2010). May, June, and July (applications due Feb. 15, 2011). Aug., Sept., and Oct. (applications due March 15, 2011).
The field experiences/student teaching program Incorporates:
Initial application fee $500*
Program fee for 10-11 weeks $3,550*
Program fee for 12-14 weeks $4,200*
Program fee for 15 weeks $5,200*
Total fees paid to Educators Abroad = Program fee for selected weeks + housing + additional expenses**
The practicum program Incorporates:
Initial application fee $500
Program fee $850
Total fees paid to Educators Abroad = $1,350* + housing + additional expenses**
