Goals and Objectives

For Academic Year:  2011-2012  2010-2011  2009-2010

    Year 2011-12    

  • Goal #1   Recruit, develop and maintain quality faculty who can prepare students for productive careers
    • Aligns with the University's Goal 1:  "Enhance the culture of faculty excellence."


    • 1.1 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Recruit for faculty vacancies as necessary in the national market.
    • 1.2 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Continue to use endowed chair and professorships to promote faculty development.
    • 1.3 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Conduct annual performance planning and evaluations of faculty

  • Goal #2   Recruit and retain students who are capable of productive careers
    • Aligns with the University's Goal 4:  "Enhance student growth and success."


    • 2.1 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Increase awareness of the opportunities in construction management
    • 2.2 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Implement a plan for student placement opportunity

  • Goal #3   Deliver a high quality academic program which will prepare students for productive careers.
    • Aligns with the University's Goal 3:  "Enhance the academic learning environment."


    • 3.1 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Continue ACCE accreditation
    • 3.2 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Continue assurance of learning plans for student learning goals

  • Goal #4   Increase resources to achieve the programs goals and fulfill its mission
    • Aligns with the University's Goal 6:  "Strengthen relationships with ULM constituencies."


    • 4.1 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Work with Industry to increase resources

  • Goal #5   Maintain student involvement with the construction industry
    • Aligns with the University's Goal 6:  "Strengthen relationships with ULM constituencies."


    • 5.1 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Have students begin interaction with the construction industry during early years in the program
    • 5.2 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Students will meet alumni who are professionals in the industry
    • 5.3 Outcomes/Objectives:
    •   Have students participate in industry sponsored events.
