Dr. Keith A. Parker

 

Dr. Parker joined the School of Construction Management faculty in 1989. He was employed by an industrial contractor from 1974-1980 where he began as a laborer and left as field superintendent. He received the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1984, the M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1988, the M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1993, and the Doctor of Engineering in 1999 from Louisiana Tech University. In 1997, he was named " Construction Educator of the Year" by the Dallas Chapter of AGC. Additionally, he was the 1995-96 "Outstanding Teacher" in the college of Pure and Applied Sciences and the "Outstanding Teacher" in the School of Construction in 1996, 1991-92, and 1990-91. His research interests include mechanical & electrical systems, automation in construction, the international construction market and construction safety.
