FACILITIES

Dental Hygiene classes are held in Caldwell Hall on the ULM campus.

The facility consists of laboratories, classrooms, and a dental hygiene clinic. The clinic is open to the public and consists of 17 operatories, three X-Ray rooms, and a reception room.

Additional clinical and observation opportunities provided for the students include:

  • Local dental offices (observation)

  • VA Hospital Dental Clinic - Shreveport (rotation)

  • Ouachita Parish Health Unit (extended clinic site)

  • Glenwood School-Based Program - Riser Elementary and Middle School (extended clinic site)

In addition, each student will be expected to join the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association. Fees for membership are $45 annually.
