Why Come to ULM for a Master's Degree in English?

Selected graduate students work closely with faculty teaching Sophomore Literature classes.
Our small and student-friendly program gives graduate students lots of faculty access and attention.
Our graduate students present their work at conferences at ULM and national conferences.
The program offers evening and online classes for working graduate students
We are an accredited program conveniently located for residents of Northeast Louisiana, West-Central Mississippi, South-East Arkansas, or North-East Texas.
Many of our MA graduates work as ULM instructors before going on to Ph. D programs or other careers.

Our graduates go on to earn Ph.D.'s from schools such as Auburn University, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Texas A&M, the University of Arkansas,  Louisiana State University, and the University of Oklahoma.
