The national network of America’s Small Business Development Centers has signed a mutual aid and support declaration to assist SBDCs in the preparedness, rebuilding and recovery of small businesses.

Through the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), 22 RSVP members completed Community Emergency Response (CERT) Team training, allowing them to provide critical assistance during emergency response efforts.

The ceremony was conducted by chapter advisor Dr. Jana Giles, and student chapter president Justina Salassi of Alexandria.

ULMPD will participate with other law enforcement agencies to step up enforcement of the state's occupant protection laws during the two-week mobilization.

The public is encouraged to participate with questions and comments on economic development in Lincoln Parish and the city of Ruston. The forum is free and open to the public.
