The University of Louisiana at Monroe recently ranked number 27 in a list of universities with the 30 best online MBA programs in the nation.
In 1952, baseball brought Dorothy Kovalchick to West Monroe, La. from Sagamore, Penn. By then, she had already achieved more than many could dream of. From 1940 to 1948, Dorothy played professional baseball, and was one of the first women to do so.

University of Louisiana at Monroe alum Matthew Street (B.A., '11) recently obtained a position as Spanish lecturer at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Social Science Research Lab (SSRL) joins the University of Mississippi and Arkansas State University to develop the Delta Regional Authority Leadership Academy. The academy will conduct training of 50 participants through seven workshops held throughout the Delta.
