Description of Duties and Responsibilities |
Work with individuals and small groups;
review writing assignment; go over writing strategies for essays and
research papers; help students develop a variety of study and writing
strategies; attend regularly scheduled staff meetings; other tasks
assigned as necessary |

Job Qualifications |
Must be proficient in
written and spoken English and be able to convey the knowledge clearly
via the spoken and written word. A grade of A or B is usually
required in all English courses the potential tutor has taken, as well
as and overall GPA of at least 3.0. Must be friendly, desire to be
helpful, and communicate effectively. Show ability and
willingness to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
and levels of academic preparation and possess basic computer
familiarity. |
