Dr. William Barnett is the holder of the Kitty DeGree Professorship in Computer Information Systems.
He earned his Ph.D. in information systems at the University of Texas at Arlington. He also served as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1983-1989.
Dr. Barnett has been the faculty chair for Computer Science/Computer Information Systems at ULM since August of 2006. In 2004, he received the George Thomas Walker Professor of Entrepreneurship award.
