Ms. Connie Lewis is the holder of the Sister Anne Marie Twohig Professorship in Nursing and is a faculty member in the ULM School of Nursing.
She graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, now ULM, with a bachelor of science in nursing degree in 1989 and a master of science in nursing degree from Grambling State University in 2007.
She is enrolled in the Ph.D. nursing program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where her research focus is childhood obesity.
Lewis worked as a registered nurse for 16 years on a pediatric unit as the coordinator of computer documentation, and as director of the Information Systems Department.
In 2005, Lewis began her faculty role at the ULM School of Nursing. She maintains professional membership in Sigma Theta Tau International, American Nurses Association, and Southern Nursing Research Society.
Lewis is a member of the University Library Committee. In addition, she serves as co-chair of the School of Nursing Curriculum Committee and as a member of the School of Nursing Resource and Technology Committee.
