Dr. Jose Cordova is the holder of the Kitty DeGree Professorship in Computer Sciences.
He has been an associate professor of computer science at ULM since 1995 and computer science faculty chair from 2005-present. He was also the holder of the Clarke Williams, Jr. Endowed Professorship in Communicative Software Design from 1997-2000 and 2003-2006.
During his career, he has received many research and grant opportunities, including the NSF CSEMS Scholarship Grant, the Louisiana Board of Regents Summer 1999 Fellowship of Excellence Award in Undergraduate Instruction for Computer and Information Science Faculty, the Department of Navy-Information Technology Center Educational Grant, and the Southern Arkansas University Research Grant.
He earned his B.S., M.S., and PhD. in computer science at Mississippi State University and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout all his academic work.
