The Program is open to students in all majors. Students will take 16 hours of an Honors Core and then select one of two Honors options.
Honors Core – To complete the Honors Core students must take:
All courses in the Honors Core Curriculum substitute for courses in the University Core Curriculum.
Upon completion of the Honors Core, the student will have two choices:
Honors in the College (22 hours) - To complete Honors in the College the student must take:
Students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 by graduation (3.3 freshman year; 3.4 sophomore and junior year). Completion of curriculum requirements and a minimum grade point average will qualify a student to obtain a certificate from the Honors Program.
Honors in the University (24 hours) - To complete Honors in the University the student must take:
Students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 by graduation (3.3 freshman year; 3.4 sophomore year; 3.5 junior year). Completion of curriculum requirements and a minimum grade point average will qualify a student to obtain a certificate from the Honors Program and to receive special recognition at graduation.
