ULM Honors Program - Scholarships

ULM designates money each year for Honors Scholarships. After the first semester in the Honors Program, all Honor students may apply for these scholarships.

General Information and Requirements

• Must demonstrate overall commitment to the Honors Program
  Progress in the Honors Program
• Three (3) honors courses completed (including those using honors options) in the previous year
• Only two (2) scholarships may be obtained each year (you can apply for up to three (3) scholarships)
• Application for scholarships in your tier or lower
• If a student wants to apply for a scholarship higher than their current tier, then the student must show progress in the upper-tier requirements

2. Return the Honors Program Scholarship application to the Faculty Honors Scholarship Committee at either office listed in Step 1.

Scholarship Deadlines

Deadlines are July 29 for fall, winter session and spring disbursement, and May 1 for summer I and II sessions.

Tier I - Honors in the Major, total available $4,000

M1 / One (1)	$1,000	3.60 GPA or higher in your major; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
M2 / Two (2)	$   750	3.50 GPA or higher in your major; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
M3 / Two (2)	$   500	3.40 GPA or higher in your major; Freshmen (2nd semester) Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including summer and winter sessions
M4 / Two (2)	$   250	3.40 GPA or higher in your major; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including summer and winter sessions, cannot be split
Tier II - Honors in the College, total available $6,000

C1 / Two (2)	$1,000	3.60 GPA or higher; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
C2 / Two (2)	$   750	3.50 GPA or higher; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
C3 / One (1)	$   750	3.50 GPA or higher; Louisiana Resident; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
C4 / Two (2)	$   500	3.40 GPA or higher; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including summer and winter sessions
C5 / Three (3)	$   250	3.40 GPA or higher; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including summer and winter sessions, cannot be split
Tier III - Honors in the University, total available $10,000

H1 / One (1)	$1,500	3.70 GPA or higher; Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
H2 / One (1)	$1,000	3.60 GPA or higher; International Student; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
H3 / Two (2)	$1,000	3.60 GPA or higher; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded in spring or fall or split
H4 / Two (2)	$   750	3.50 GPA or higher; Louisiana Resident; Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including the summer and winter session or split
H5 / Two (2)	$   750	3.50 GPA or higher; Out-of-state Resident; Junior or Senior classification; can be during awarded any session, including the summer and winter session or split
H6 / Three (3)	$   500	3.40 GPA or higher; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including summer and winter sessions
H7 / Four (4)	$   250	3.40 GPA or higher; Freshmen (2nd semester), Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification; can be awarded during any session, including spring or fall or split, cannot be split
ULM Foundation Scholarships

Study Abroad Scholarships
