Health
and Physical Education Certification (HPEC) concentration prepares
students to teach K-12 health and physical education by providing
coursework and experiences in the area of health and physical education.

The
Exercise
Science (EXSC/EXPT) concentration prepares students for careers in the
clinical/preventive settings including
cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, hospital based wellness
programs, as well as advanced study in exercise
science. Students intending to pursue entry into a physical
therapy program will be required to take additional hours and make
substitutions as recommended by their academic advisor. |

The
Health Promotion/Disease Prevention
(HPDP) (formerly Community Health Education and Promotion) concentration prepares students with a background in
courses and field experiences that qualify them for entry level
positions in a variety of community health promotion agencies. |

The
Fitness and Sports Studies
(FSST)
concentration prepares students for leadership roles in the fitness and
sport industries.
