YMCA The YMCA is getting ready for another year of after school/day camp and is looking to get some Kinesiology students involved. In the past they have had Kinesiology students work with them as interns--helping to align their after-school recreational activities with the Louisiana Standards for Physical Education. This year they would like to update and complete that process if any KINS students are interested in interning with them. Interested students would be designing physical activities for school-aged children, facilitating play experiences with the children, and identifying how all the related movement activities helps the children develop according to the Physical Education standards. Interested students can also work in the after-school program as a part-time job. If this sounds interesting to you, please contact: Chris Pealer Executive Director YMCA of Northeast Louisiana (318) 366-9622 www.ynela.org
