I am sorry to inform you that due to a lack of sufficient attendance, we regretfully must cancel the 3rd Annual ULM School Law Conference scheduled for April 28.  The planning committee will be discussing future opportunities for the continuance of the conference for next year.  We will keep your contact information on file for future notification.  Any paid Registration fees will be refunded accordingly.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office at 318-342-5215.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host its 3rd Annual School Law Conference on Monday, April 28, 2014, in the Student Union Ballroom, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Building.

Conference Topics

This conference will cover legal issues affecting K-12 education in Louisiana, including these "Hot Topics":

 

• Social Media Issues

• Cyberbullying

• Act 1 - Teacher Tenure

• Privacy Rights & Records

 

Who should attend

If you are an attorney, school board member, school administrator, central office staff, or just interested in these legal issues affecting K-12 education in Louisiana, then this conference is for you!

Continuing education credits will be offered for attorneys, school board members, and school administrators.

 

Keynote Speaker

Judge Alvin R. Sharp of Louisiana's 4th Judicial District Court, will be the luncheon keynote speaker.

 

Registration and Fees

Early Bird Registration fees are $175.00 per person which includes all course materials and lunch. Registration fees increase to $200.00 per person on April 17, 2014. 

Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. April 28.

You can register and pay online, by mail or the day of the conference.
