This guide is for educational resources available through the University of Louisiana at Monroe Library and online. It includes Library of Congress Classification numbers for the print collection and other library catalogs, links to databases and links to web resources.

Books

Library of Congress Classification Schedules (PDF)

These are the letters found at the front of a book's call number, which is usually on the label on a library book's spine or cover. The books in the library are arranged by subject, so if you find books starting with these letters and numbers, you can look for books you need there.

The Curriculum and Juvenile Collection on the 4th floor has children's books and curriculum materials to assist those in the School of Education with planning and preparing lessons.

Databases

Two of the most common education databases available from the home page drop-down menu are EbscoHost and JSTOR. Gale Virtual Reference Library and Web of Knowledge also contain education resources.
