Public & Alumni Visitors

Parking

Public visitors may park in any available parking areas except: those marked as "reserved," which have red curbs or lines. There are spaces adjacent to the Library, on the north side of the building, and near the SUB.

Visitors must obtain a guest pass from University Police if on campus for extended periods of time (overnight or more than one day). For more detailed information concerning parking regulations and permits, please visit the University Police Parking page.

Internet Access

There are some computers with Internet in the library which visitors are welcome to use. Visitors cannot use the computers in the computer labs, as those require a student password. There are no printers available for visitors. Users with laptops can connect to our "guest" wireless network.

Borrowing Library Materials

To borrow materials from the University Library collections when you are not a student or employee, you may use the following cards. (Their privileges are listed here):

• Friends of the ULM Library card - may be obtained for $20 through the University Library Administration Office on the 4th floor of the Library.
• President's Club Elite Member card - ULM faculty/staff retirees who qualify for the President's Club Elite Loyalty Program can get this card.
• Alumni Courtesy Library card - This is for members of the ULM Alumni Association and costs just $10. Visit or contact the ULM Alumni Center to purchase.
• LALINC card - You can get a LALINC card from other institutions in LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network, although its privileges will vary by what institution it was issued from. If you are enrolled in another Louisiana University, in this list (PDF) you can apply at your institution's library.

Giving to the Library

To make a memorial or gift to the Library, please contact the Dean of the Library, Mr. Donald Smith via email at dosmith@ulm.edu , by phone at 318-342-1050, or come to the Library administrative office on the 4th floor.
