DINNER CABARET
The Louisiana Lyric Opera announces a Dinner Cabaret to accompany “Little Shop of Horrors”.  LLO will offer interested theatre goers an opportunity to have dinner and see cabaret entertainment next door to the theatre before “Little Shop” each night.

Cabaret entertainment has become the “rage” in New York this past year.  Many big name stars are presenting a solo cabaret act in restaurants and night clubs.  “We thought we’d offer it to our theatre community too.  Folks can have dinner, be entertained, walk around the corner and see a great show all in one evening”, says Keith White, director.

The black box theatre at ULM will be transformed into a dinner theatre with tables and a stage.  The Cabaret act will feature local favorite Adavion Wayne on piano and vocals singing Broadway show favorites.  Three additional performers are being brought in from out of town to form a show quartet.  This quartet will perform songs from shows being considered for the 2008 LLO season.

After the performance, attendees will have an opportunity to vote on shows for next season.  Songs from “City of Angels” music by Cy Coleman and “Crazy for You” songs by George Gershwin will be featured.  Several “Crazy for You” songs include tap.  These will be choreographed by Robin Stephens an original member of Broadway’s “42 Street” An additional highlight will be the premier of two songs from an original musical currently being written by Adavion Wayne.

Tickets for the dinner cabaret are $20 and can be reserved
by calling 342-1414.

The dinner cabaret runs Aug. 1, 2, 3, 4 at 6 PM; reservations are required.
