CHORAL ENSEMBLES
University Chorale:
The University Chorale, made up primarily of ULM Freshman and Sophomores, sings a variety of choral music and participates in two concerts during the year. Freshman must sing in the Chorale for two semesters before auditioning for the Concert Choir. The Chorale rehearses two days a week in the afternoons.
The University Chorale is directed by Assistant Director of Choral Activities, Mr. Jarrod Richey. The Chorale also is opened to any and all students at ULM wishing to sing and make music, regardless of their major or degree track.

Concert Choir:
The Concert Choir is ULM’s premiere choral ensemble. Directed by Dr. Chandler, this auditioned choir performs a variety of literature both sacred and secular. In addition to the seasonal concerts given during the academic year, the group sings for and serves as one of the recruiting ensembles for the Division of Music by performing at high schools and colleges in the area.
The choir rehearses four days a week working through repertoire in sectional and combined rehearsal configurations.
Chamber Singers:
Chamber Singers, formerly the Madrigalians, is a select group of 20-24 voices directed by Dr. Deborah Chandler and The group performs accompanied and a cappella music of all styles and periods. Chamber Singers are auditioned out of the concert choir. They give 1-2 chamber concerts on their own each year. They sing at social functions in the community and serve as a recruiting ensemble for the Division of Music in the area.
