Larry Anderson
Associate Professor, Director of Jazz and Percussion

_________________________________________________________________________________ Mr. Anderson taught music and was director of percussion at Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received awards for excellence in performance from the Oklahoma, Music Educators Association and the Percussive Arts Society. Formerly a percussionist with the Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, he currently performs with the Shreveport Symphony, and is principal timpanist with the Monroe Symphony Orchestra. He is also leader of the LA Jazz Combo. He is a Teacher/Endorser for Sabian Cymbals and Pro-Mark Corporation. Mr. Anderson is Past-President of the Louisiana Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS). In addition, he has had several articles published by PAS in the Percussive Notes Journal. Mr. Anderson teaches percussion and directs the Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, African Ensemble, and Steel Band.
