Dr. Derle R. Long
Associate Professor, Director of Bands

_________________________________________________________________________________ Mr. Long is a veteran of over twenty-five years teaching experience in college, high school and junior high band programs. In addition to directing the ULM Band program, Mr. Long directs the renowned Sound of Today Marching Band, conducts the ULM Wind Ensemble, teaches graduate courses in drill design, conducting, band history and literature as well as undergraduate courses in band administration and curriculum. He is an active member of the National Band Association and holds memberships in Phi Beta Mu, Kappa Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha, Louisiana Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, and the College Band Directors National Association. _________________________________________________________________________________ Office Location: Band Building 101A Phone: 318-342-1594 Email: long@ulm.edu |
