The program Director, Dr. Amy Dagley said the ranking affirms the university’s commitment to preparing educators with the tools needed for success.

“The ranking confirms for us we are moving in the right direction as we share this recognition with such prestigious programs across the nation,” she said.

ULM was recognized as number 21 on the list, and was the only school in Louisiana to be ranked. The site applauded ULM’s recent U.S. News and World Report ranking and touted the program’s highlights including extended internships, teacher leader endorsements, one-on-one mentoring, and hands-on learning.

Our outstanding faculty continuously work to provide students with the experience, knowledge, and education they need in their careers.”

The criteria used to calculate the ranking include: overall quality, reputation, affordable cost, program availability, faculty credentials, graduation rate, student-to-teacher ratio, student and faculty support, technical support, as well as available financial aid, grants, and scholarships.
