LSBDC at ULM to offer free workshops

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer four free workshops as part of their week-long celebration of small business. The organization is also premiering a new look as part of a nation-wide rebranding effort.

Small businesses can take advantage of the workshops, which are specifically designed to help their business grow.

“We have partnered with several agencies throughout the state to bring these workshops to northeast Louisiana," said Virendra Chhikara, LSBDC senior business consultant. “These are great workshops for existing businesses who don’t have a lot of time to spare, but could use a few tips on how to take their business to the next level.”

The training event schedule is as follows:

    • From Noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, the “Repair My Credit” workshop will be held
    • From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, the “Certify My Business - 8(a) Certification” workshop will be held
    • From 11 a.m., to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, the “Brand My Business” workshop will be held
    • From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 14, the “Grow My Business” workshop will be held

All events will be on the ULM campus at 401 Bayou Drive, Stubbs Hall, Room 117.
