Florida State Football Game Canceled

Published September 8, 2017

Due to Hurricane Irma, the ULM vs Florida State football game scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2017, in Tallahassee, Fl. is canceled.

ULM Warhawk Athletics and Athletics Director Nick Floyd:

“The cancellation of Saturday’s ULM football game at Florida State was the prudent decision to make, especially given the emergency weather situation that exists in the state of Florida. Obviously, law enforcement and emergency management resources will be stretched thin throughout the state due to the magnitude of Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents and first responders of the state as preparation for projected landfall continues.

“We deeply appreciate the open communication that we’ve shared with FSU Athletics Director Stan Wilcox and his staff throughout this week, as they have closely monitored the progress of Hurricane Irma. The safety of the student-athletes, fans and all Florida residents has been the top priority in all our discussions.”
