Henry A. Little endowed scholarship announced by ULM

The Henry A. Little Endowed Scholarship at the University of Louisiana at Monroe has been established by the Peter A. Illing family, in memory of the late Henry A. Little, a graduate and long-time supporter of the University. ULM is making the announcement today on the anniversary of Little's death.

Little was a former president of the ULM Alumni Association and was instrumental in arranging for the current Anna Gray Noe Alumni Center. In October, he was posthumously awarded the Golden Arrow Award, the highest honor bestowed upon ULM alumni for outstanding personal and professional achievements.

Persons interested in honoring Little may add to the endowment by making contributions designated to the Henry A. Little Scholarship through the NLU Foundation.

The scholarship will go to a full-time student majoring in business or accounting in the College of Business Administration. The recipient must have an average grade point average of 3.0 or better and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA each semester to renew the scholarship. The recipient will also demonstrate financial need and exemplify qualities of dedicated citizenship.

ULM's University Scholarship Committee will select the recipient. The initial Henry A. Little Endowed Scholarship is expected to be awarded for the fall semester, 2000.
