ULM faculty members' awards and accomplishments

Dr. David Loudon and Dr. Robert Stevens have assumed the editorship of the Services Marketing Quarterly (formerly The Journal of Professional Services Marketing). They also serve as co-editors of the Journal of Ministry Marketing & Management and Best Business Books in Print.

Dr. Margaret Edwards was named a "Distinguished Lecturer" by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. This is a national competition and is based on the submission of a "lecture" which furthers the development of nursing as a science and an art.

Dr. Linda Sabin received the Regional Media Award from Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for her making of historically accurate dolls depicting nurses of various eras in the history of nursing.

Dr. Darrell P. Kruger was appointed as the Co-Coordinator for the Louisiana Geographic Education Alliance (LaGEA) effective Fall 2000. LaGEA falls under the Geographic Education Outreach umbrella of the National Geographic Society. There will be a LaGEA office on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe to serve northeast Louisiana. This office will complement the LaGEA office at LSU, which is headed by Dr. Anthony Lewis the other LaGEA co-coordinator.
