Associate Vice President for Business Affairs at ULM to become VP

Dr. Nick Bruno, Associate Vice President for Business Affairs at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, pending approval by The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, will take the Vice President for Business Affairs post on Jan. 1, 2003, following the retirement of current Vice President Robert Turner, effective Dec. 31, 2002.

"Robert made it known to me that he planned to retire at the end of this year. In order to prepare us for Robert's eventual retirement, a national search was conducted in order to hire Nick, anticipating that he would fill the Vice Presidency. It's good that Robert stayed and helped Nick learn this system in order to assure a seamless transition," said Dr. James Cofer, President of ULM.

Dr. Bruno received his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi. Bruno was hired as the Associate Vice President for Business Affairs at ULM in August 2002. His previous position was Assistant Vice President for Special Initiatives at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
