Pikes Win Big at Regional Leadership Conference

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Eta Omicron Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha "Pike" Fraternity concluded its Regional Leadership Conference in Dallas by being named Most outstanding Chapter in the Region. Ben Bickham (President) and Steven Douglas (Vice President) were awarded Pike Certificates for completing their third leadership event for the fraternity. Over 40 Pike Chapters from Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas attended the Leadership Conference.

ULM's Advisor, Tommy Walpole, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the success of Delta Region and contributing to the success of its new president, Dr. Trey LaBella.

Pi Kappa Alpha was charted on the ULM campus in 1972 and will celebrate its 33rd anniversary in April. The Pikes have been the largest fraternity at ULM for the last consecutive 22 years. They are the top academic fraternity at ULM and the 7-time defending All-Fraternity Athletic Champions. They are also the reigning ULM Organization of the Year. They have won Organization of the year for the past three years. This award has only been in existence for four years.
