SBDC offers small business workshop March 1

The ULM Small Business Development Center will offer a Starting and Financing a Small Business workshop Thursday, March 1 from 6 - 8 p.m. at 611 Church Lane in Waterproof.

Co-sponsored by the Pride of Waterproof Community Association, Macon Ridge CDC, Northeast Louisiana Economic Development Alliance, Entergy, Business Link, MEDAL, Enterprise Corporation of the Delta, Mid South Delta LISC, and the USDA Rural Business Cooperative Service, the workshop is especially intended for individuals who want to start or expand their small business and don’t know where to start. It helps identify business ideas while explaining the steps necessary to develop a business plan and identify sources of funds.

The ULM SBDC provides quality, no-fee, confidential, one-on-one counseling services to potential and existing business owners; provides no-fee management and technical assistance services by appointment; conducts workshops and seminars to help small business people become better managers and to keep them informed about current events and changing trends in today’s business world; and maintains a resource library which includes statistical data, census figures, SBA publications, and a variety of other information.
