FastTrac™ Developing Your Child Care Business program July 30 – Aug. 27

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will provide the FastTrac™ Developing Your Child Care Business program July 30 – Aug. 27 from 6 – 9 p.m. in the ULM Administration Building, Room 2-105.

Participants have chosen to fulfill the demand for a growing business in child care. It does, however, take more than caring and commitment to become successful in this area, and people need to know how to manage the business aspect. The Developing Your Child Care Business program will help combine a desire to provide child care with the need to do it as a legitimate business. This program will cover everything from helping participants think and act as business owners to helping build a sustainable business that serves everyone’s needs.

There is a fee of $200 per person (workbook included). Partial scholarship is available through Louisiana Pathway, pending eligibility. Preregistration is encouraged. For more information, contact the LSBDC at ULM at (318) 342-1224, or go online at: http://www.lsbdc.org.

This opportunity is part of the LSBDC’s continuing education program, as it provides quality, no-fee, confidential, one-on-one counseling services to potential and existing business owners; provides no-fee management and technical assistance services by appointment; conducts workshops and seminars to help small business people become better managers and to keep them informed about current events and changing trends in today’s business world; and maintains a resource library which includes statistical data, census figures, SBA publications, and a variety of other information.
