First Annual Warhawk Triathlon scheduled for March 24

The Association of Students in Kinesiology will sponsor the First Annual Warhawk Triathlon Saturday, March 24, beginning at 9 a.m. at Lake Oxford Natatorium on the ULM campus.

ASK has joined forces with Vantage Health Plan to resurrect the Indian Triathlon, which hasn’t been competed in 11 years.

The Warhawk Triathlon is a competitive triathlon event that will include a 400-meter indoor pool swim, an 11-mile bike ride, and a 3-mile run. The finish line will be at the Grove. After the triathlon there will be food and gumbo for all participants.

The pre-registration fee is $40 and $50 on Saturday. The fee is $25 for ULM students and any high school students in the area who want to join in. Participants are coming from Baton Rouge, Dallas, Jackson, New Orleans, LSU, and other regional locations. ASK encourages Monroe residents to sign up for a great cause and have a healthy, fun-filled experience.
