ULM fans embrace winning Warhawks

More than 250 fans gathered at Malone Stadium Saturday night to congratulate the Warhawks on their monumental victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide, 21-14.

Fans waved their Warhawks signs as the Sound of Today pep band blasted tunes. The celebration concluded with a rendition of ULM’s Alma Mater.

The strong school spirit displayed that night heartened Arts & Sciences Dean Jeffrey Cass. “I was thrilled to see faculty, students, administrators, coaches, and the community come together in mutual celebration. It didn’t matter who you were, whether or not you had even seen a game this year, everyone was glad to be a Warhawk and to pat one on the back.”

ULM President James E. Cofer expressed his pride in the diligence of the football team.

"Saturday’s Warhawks win over the Alabama Crimson Tide is a triumph for the entire ULM community. We are extremely proud of the extraordinary hard work and dedication of our student-athletes and Coach Weatherbie.”
