Whitney Dionne Jones named ULM’s 2007 Homecoming Queen

Whitney Dionne Jones was crowned ULM’s 2007 Homecoming Queen Friday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. during a pep rally located behind the Bayou Village Apartments.

Jones, the daughter of Alvin and Sandra Jones, is a senior communicative disorders major from Bastrop. Jones’ activities and honors include Lambda Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Greek Council President, Miss NAACP 2006-2007, vice president of National Pan-Hellenic Council and national Student Speech, Language and Hearing Association. She was nominated by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and was escorted by her father Alvin Jones.

The ULM Homecoming Court, which was selected through student votes, was also honored during ULM’s Homecoming football game against Florida International University in Malone Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 20.
